| Synopsis of Event | Joint replacements have dramatically changed over the last 40 years with introduction of new materials, design concepts and recommendations. By en large these are Western recommendations. Nevertheless, the Asian patient tends to have higher demands with respect to range of motion (e.g. squatting for prayer, hygiene or chores). The speaker will discuss some of these areas of concern which front line physicians would have to address when counseling patients on the need for surgery and expected function afterwards. |
